The building originally housed a 32-lane bowling alley (Woodlawn Lanes).

The venue was demolished a long time ago. The Woodlawn Plaza now occupies the area where the Aerodrome was located.

Jimmy Page had played the Aerodrome with the Yardbirds on March 28, 1968. The Doors, Janis Joplin, Jeff Beck, Vanilla Fudge, Jefferson Airplane, and Billy Joel were some of the more well-known acts to have played the Aerodrome.
