Vancouver. Good evening. Good evening. We must at least get the trivialities out of the way. Tonight we intend to ah, have a really really really good time, right? And through doing so, we intend, we're been together now for about six and a half years. Six and a half hard years where it's been, been nothing but work work work. No fun. It's been a hard life, but what we intend to do is show you a little bit of the crossection of music that we've got together from the one extreme right to the other, and this is probably, this is probably the best place to begin.

And how is Vancouver? Is it full of beans? Well, as you might be aware that um, I beg your pardon? You might be aware that in the last eighteen months we've been um, quite busy quite busy doing various little things ah, keeping ourselves clean, and all shaven and throwing away our beards and things, and we even managed to get an album together called Physical Grafitti, and, and this album carries a lot of varied materila which probably, some of you might be aware of/ We're gonna do some of the stuff tonight, and this is the first piece. It has it's roots, well intruding, well well well well well well well back in the past, and it goes like this.

It feels as if its going to be OK. It also feels like its going to be a little warm. Is it warm down there? Feels pretty good up here. Well, during our travels we've um, we've taken the opportunity of circumnavigating the known world and at the same time calling in at different ports, at what you might call ports of call. The places where people don't go to very often where you get an idea of what life on this Earth really is all about, and at the same time the red light areas of Hong Kong and Bangkok and all these beautiful places where everything comes a plenty and comes very cheap, and we find that our communication with people wherever we go always, The Song Remains the Same.

Thank you very much. That was one of the um, quite a simple song of love really. If only love was so simple. This ah, you what Love? This is a song from ah, Physical Vancouver the new LP. I seem to remember it being that way once upon a time, hang on , there's a man climbing up the mic stand. Oh now, that was last time. This is a song that ah, talks about the wasted wasted wasted lands ah, wasted wasted wasted lands, and it's not California. It's called Kashmir.

It Really is an orchestra. We're going to feature Jones again on keyboards, which saves him a lot of strength for later on in the evening cause he has to sit down all the time you see. This is a song about a journey, a rather dubious journey, and while John has a drink we'll all prepare ourselves for it. You what love? This is a thing called No Quarter.

John Paul Jones grand piano. Right now, this new album, as we were saying ah, has many variants of style and feel. This one track that ah, we're gonna do now is in a totally different mood to No Quarter. It's very ah, how would you say it, mobile. It's relative to the parts of a motor car which is of course realative to the means of making love. It's called, there's Raymond with a broken leg, Raymond with a broken leg, don't you realize this guy is still travelling with us with a broken leg. That's all you can do? Too many quaalude, and ah, Robert with a broken heart. This is a track called, this is called Trampled Underfoot.

Good Evening. Oh, Who's a lucky girl? Jimmy scores a nice little thing for his neck. All I get is a pencil. Perhaps it's because its lead. Hey. Alright you lucky guys and gals. Ladies and gentlemen, a very serious part of the night has now arrived , where I nip off to the dressing room to get a blowjob. We'd now like to feature ah, how coarse, how coarse these English people can be, as England sinks into the British channel, here we are in North America. Right Vancouver, we give you an experience you'll never forget, more stunning than Lysergic Acid Diethylamide titrate, a man over there has just had diarhea. Ladies and gentlemen, the man with only two cavities, John Bonham. Moby Dick.

Before: Dazed and Confused
Today is not John Bonham's birthday. Here's Mick Hinton another manager with a broken leg, Mick Hinton! With a broken leg! That's the way these English boys like it. A long time ago when we were too serious, no a long time ago when ah, I don't want to present any cliche's, but when I was nineteen and everybody else was a lot older, we got together in a tiny room in London. We didn't have any bread, so it had to be a small room, and we got together and we picked up our instruments, ah the blow job by the way was fantastic. um We picked up our instruments and we said right, if this is good then we should play it until the last sun sets in the west. And the first number that we got together and played on was the number that made us sure that we should carry on and on and on, and on. It's quite moving actually. We'd like to dedicate this to our manager, Peter Grant, who's made so many things possible. He's the man who gives us the blow job in the dressing room. It goes something like this.

Dazed and Confused. Jimmy Page guitar! um Thank you. As we said in the begininng, we'd intended to give you ah, a cross section of ah, of what we'd managed to get together in about six and a half years. The whole reason for our being together now is that we still are capable of exciting ourelves with the music that we play together and one of the, and one of the high spots amidst the haste was this.
